It's going to be hard for some fans to believe, but it's looking increasingly more likely that Thunder Rosa is on her way to WWE. She lost the NWA Women's Championship to Serena Deeb on Tuesday night, and Dave Meltzer previously mentioned on Twitter that he was made aware of the title change beforehand and that Rosa had been getting interest from WWE and All Elite Wrestling.
Now, he's shared the following to the F4WOnline message board, stating: "I think Rosa is going to WWE. I was told 2-3 weeks ago that Deeb was winning and Rosa was going to WWE and the first part just happened. If Rosa was going to AEW, she could keep her NWA Title."
That evidence certainly appears to be mounting in that respect, and while Rosa did make an impact in AEW, her matches didn't leave too much of a lasting impact. It's easy to imagine her heading to WWE and refining her craft somewhat, but how well she would be used in the company is hard to say. One thing we can be confident of is that she'll likely go straight to NXT.
Rosa has shared some cryptic Tweets on Instagram recently, so who knows what will happen. AEW has confirmed, however, that Serena Deeb will defend the NWA Women's Championship on tonight's episode of Dynamite against Leyla Hirsch.
We'll keep you updated.
