Neville's WWE departure came totally out of the blue and hit fans hard as he's been the best thing about 205 Live for a very long time. It seems the decision to have him lose the Cruiserweight Championship to Enzo Amore was the straw that broke the camel's back and he asked for his release despite the fact most of us assumed he would become a red-hot babyface on RAW.

Well, a new report reveals that WWE isn't going to just let the King of the Cruiserweights walk away as they intend on keeping him under contract until it expires unless they can reach an agreement.

This is why we haven't heard anything official from WWE about Neville's departure and while it's possible something could be worked out in the meantime, it seems the company will force him to remain with them until his contract expires and that means he'll have a long time to wait before hitting the independent scene. Emma, Darren Young, and Summer Rae won't be truly free until March 2018!

As a result, Neville's fate remains very much up in the air for now. Where do you think he could appear next? Ring of Honor? New Japan Pro Wrestling? Share your thoughts in the usual place.
