It appears as if WWE has decided to give Zelina Vega a singles push, and while that's good news for her, where does that leave Andrade and Angel Garza? Well, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon doesn't see either one of them as main event talents.
Bearing in mind Andrade was NXT Champion and Garza is one of the most charismatic Superstars on the Monday night show, that honestly makes no sense, but this is Vince we're talking about, remember.
"When Heyman got replaced, I was kind of told [that] Aleister Black and Andrade were two guys that were really gonna be in trouble because Vince doesn’t necessarily see a lot in them compared to what Heyman saw in them," he explained. "It appeared that Zelina Vega is splitting up from Garza and Andrade. I can see Garza being forgotten but maybe not but if there is a split, Andrade feels like he’s going to be the one…if they’re gonna do Garza vs. Andrade, it’s probably gonna be Garza that goes over and Andrade’s the one that gets forgotten."
Meltzer also pointed out that Vega makes a better manager than wrestler, and it seems inevitable that someone is going to end up suffering from this breakup. We can only hope that Andrade and Garza aren't signed to long-term contracts as they would no doubt excel in companies like All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
What do you guys think?
