It Now Appears As If WWE Is Struggling To Keep WWE Network Subscribers As Well

Ratings for RAW and SmackDown Live have been steadily dropping week by week, and it now appears as if that's had an impact on WWE Network subscription numbers. Find out more details after the jump...

Now and again, WWE will send out special offers to lapsed WWE Network subscribers in order to try and tempt them back. For example, they've offered a free month or something similar but this latest deal is quite surprising and seems like something of a desperation move. 

As you can see below, WWE is offering new subscribers the chance to get the Network for three months...for just $0.99. 

There's no way they can be making a profit on that, and they're giving away Stomping Grounds, Extreme Rules, NXT TakeOver: Toronto, and SummerSlam during that period. Now, an argument could be made that this is a smart way of getting people to check the network out, especially if they then stick around and pay $9.99 per month.

However, given the lack of original content on there lately and the poor quality of RAW, SmackDown Live, and PPVs since WrestleMania, it's hard not to wonder if subscriber numbers are dropping...
