It Seems AJ Styles Will Remain WWE Champion As Triple H Is Set To Battle Jinder Mahal In India

Speculation has been running rampant that AJ Styles will soon lose the WWE Championship to Jinder Mahal so he can hold the title during WWE's upcoming tour in India but it now appears as if that's not the case.

When AJ Styles won the WWE Championship on SmackDown Live this past week, most of us assumed it was because Vince McMahon realised that no one would want to see Jinder Mahal battle Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series but that he would probably put the title back on the Modern Day Maharajah in time for WWE's upcoming live event tour in India (which he will be a part of).

Well, it no longer appears as if that's the case as Triple H has challenged Mahal to a match in India which clearly won't be for the WWE Championship and washes away the possibility of Styles also heading over to India in order to lose the title there. Has the Mahal experiment failed? Not necessarily but WWE clearly wishes to move forward with Styles as the champion heading into 2018.

What's weird about all this is that it probably means Triple H is a babyface now. After all, he recently teamed up with The Shield despite trying to end Seth Rollins' career earlier this year!
