Keith Lee is reportedly frustrated with how he's been booked since returning to RAW last week and, honestly, we can't blame him! Making his surprise return on the show following Money in the Bank, Lee was squashed by WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and then took another loss to Karrion Kross this Monday.
There are any number of Superstars who could have filled those roles, and any hope of Lee being booked as a main event talent is rapidly fading.
Lee continues to promise that he's going to reveal the reason for his seven-month absence from WWE television, but it appears the former NXT Champion has an even bigger gripe than that. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, "Keith Lee tweeted something which he later deleted which said something to the effect of 'gone 7 months and virtually squashed my first two weeks back' or something like that. That one got deleted."
Ever since his debut on the main roster, fans have been unhappy with how Lee was booked. His ring gear and entrance music were changed, while there were backstage reports that Vince McMahon had not only soured on him, but that there are those in the company who don't like how NXT talents are trained. Lee has also attempted to trademark his name (which hasn't sat well with WWE).
We're intrigued to learn why he was gone for such a long time, but whatever he has to say, we're guessing Lee plans to leave WWE at the earliest opportunity.
Stay tuned for updates.
