Thanks to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we have an update - of sorts - on Lars Sullivan.

This time last year, the plan was for him to face John Cena at WrestleMania. However, some apparent anxiety issues and reports about troubling behaviour online in the past, changed those plans. While he did eventually start appearing on RAW and SmackDown as a monster heel, that was cut short after an injury led to him needing knee surgery.

Well, he was meant to be back by now, and Meltzer confirms that not only should he be ready for his in-ring return, but "His name hasn’t been mentioned at all of late."

Honestly, after everything that's happened, there's a strong chance WWE is just going to give up on Sullivan and quietly release him when his contract expires (given the nature of the comments he made online, he may struggle to get work elsewhere so probably wouldn't be AEW-bound).

We'll keep you guys updated!
