Speculation is running rampant that WWE's plan for the upcoming SmackDown Live exclusive PPV Fastlane will see Randy Orton do battle with United States Champion Bobby Roode. That comes after he hit an RKO Outta Nowhere on the champ moments after he defeated Rusev; Orton would then go on to hit his finishing move on both Rusev and Aiden English, making his intentions clear.

Whether or not Orton is going to be United States Champion moving into WrestleMania remains to be seen but it seems far more likely that he'll lose to Roode to help him get over with fans.

How Rusev might play into this is hard to say, especially as he's so popular with fans at the moment. Either way, the card for the Showcase of the Immortals should start coming together soon and we'll hopefully start seeing where Superstars like these ultimately end up falling on the show's card.
