We may never know the full story behind what happened when WWE's Superstars were left stranded in Saudi Arabia following last year's
Crown Jewel, but there's seemingly a backup plan in place for Thursday's
Super ShowDown.
This comes after WWE was unable to get its biggest names back to the United States in time and had to rely on Daniel Bryan and NXT talent to carry what proved to be an amazing edition of
SmackDown.
"WWE thought better of sending the entire roster to Saudi Arabia this go around after the issues last time," Fightful Select reports. "[We have] learned that numerous members of the SmackDown and Raw rosters are staying in the States this week."
It now makes sense why WWE isn't holding any sort of Battle Royal in the country, and the company is hoping for a big rating with Friday's SmackDown regardless thank to John Cena's planned return.
Are you guys excited for
Super ShowDown?
