In a bid to increase ticket sales and Network subscriptions, WWE is planning on returning to dual branded PPVs after WrestleMania. Since the brand split, the only shows featuring talent from RAW and SmackDown were the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series so this is obviously a big change and one which should have a significant impact on WWE moving forward.
Now, Dave Meltzer is reporting that there's been talk inside the company of doing more dual branded house shows (non-televised events which happen throughout the week) in the future.
This would reportedly be on a very limited basis with Friday nights the most likely option in major markets. That means WWE wouldn't have to cut down on the number of WWE Live events they do and this news comes off the back off that big dual branded show which took place in Madison Square Garden last week. So, if you live in a big town, you have a lot to look forward to after WrestleMania!
