The WWE roster is already crowded but things will be getting even more manic in 2019 as WWE is reportedly still reaching out to a lot of top independent stars in a bid to get them to sign up with them.

It's no secret that they're interested in The Elite but Cody Rhodes has recently stated that he doesn't intend on returning to the company as of right now. However, WWE reportedly has its eye on another group according to Dave Meltzer as they're said to be pursuing two of the top workers in the business who should be free by January. Meltzer even describes them as major league stars in big companies.

That probably means they hail from New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor and while he doesn't have any names, it should be interesting seeing how things pan out. Bizarrely, it's no secret that NJPW is hoping to sign a number of WWE Superstars and is hoping to offer big money deals with few dates to tempt them over. With WrestleMania season approaching, you know that surprises are on the way.
