Well, Matt Riddle isn't the only NXT Superstar coming to the main roster. According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has made the decision to call up Dominik Dijakovic. He's been making quite an impact on Wednesday nights, but is expected to arrive on RAW in the near future.
He signed with WWE back in 2017, and first worked under his real name, Christopher Dijak, before WWE inevitably changed that. Before joining the company, he had worked for Ring of Honor, Chaotic Wrestling, and a host of other Indie promotions. Clearly, McMahon believes he has potential, hence why he wants him on Monday nights.
In recent weeks, we haven't seen much from Dijakovic on NXT as he recently finished up his programme with NXT North American Champion Keith Lee. Whereas the plan for Dijakovic is to head to RAW, Riddle is going to SmackDown instead.
This is more than likely in response to RAW and SmackDown's failing ratings, as something needs to be done to increase interest in both shows. Whether the addition of these former NXT Superstars will help is hard to say, but something needs to be done to turn their fortunes around.
We'll keep you guys updated!
