Championships were the big focal point of NXT Gold Rush, and on the first week's episode (November 18, 2025), the main event featured Jacy Jayne regaining the NXT Women's Championship from Tatum Paxley, after Izzi Dame turned on her friend and cost her the title.
Paxley was doing everything she could to hang in there with Jayne while also dealing with outside interference from Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. The Culling were not of any help, and eventually, Dame decided to pump kick Paxley and toss her back into the ring so she could be pinned by Jayne, who capitalized with a Rolling Encore elbow to score the pinfall and become a two-time champion.
Dame was very clearly just using Paxley for her own benefits, so it was only a matter of time before she turned on her "friend". But this makes Paxley's title run just a temporary transitional reign, which is unfortunate to see.
But that actually wasn't the only title to change hands at NXT Gold Rush. For more information about that, check out the rest of this post underneath the spoiler warning.
SPOILERS FOR NEXT WEEK
Results for next week's NXT Gold Rush episode are in for the November 25th edition, as it is being taped in advance at The Theater at Madison Square Garden both before and after NXT Gold Rush Week 1's broadcast.
During those tapings, TNA Wrestling's Lei Ying Lee managed to steal a pin from Jordynne Grace and beat Kelani Jordan to win the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
As of yet, no other title has changed hands, as both the men's and women's EVOLVE champions (Jackson Drake and Kendal Grey respectively) retained their titles over Sean Legacy and Lainey Reid.
The WWE Speed Women's Championship match apparently went to Fallon Henley, too, meaning Reid was the only Fatal Influence member to fail to win a title.
Personal Reactions & What Happens Next?:
It's a shame Paxley didn't get a better run, but I didn't think she was going to have a particularly strong title reign, to be honest. I just didn't think it would end this quickly. I hope there's an actual plan going forward for Jacy Jayne, and not just that they felt they couldn't put the belt on anyone else and didn't trust Izzi Dame to be the next in line instead. Now, I feel like Jayne has to lose it to Jordynne Grace, particularly after she once again fell short in another match. She can't win a thing, so maybe me projecting that isn't the best bet. I'm surprised about Heney winning, too. Things aren't good for ZaRuca these days.
