James Ellsworth Will Square Off With Asuka On Next Week's Episode Of SMACKDOWN LIVE

James Ellsworth laid down the challenge on last night's episode of SmackDown Live and while Asuka herself didn't respond, Paige has made it official: next week, he'll square off one on one with Asuka...

When James Ellsworth returned at the Money in the Bank PPV, he helped Carmella defeat Asuka to retain the SmackDown Live Women's Championship. While many fans suspected that his appearance there would be a one-off, it looks like he's back under a WWE contract because he showed up on the blue brand again this week and challenged Asuka to a one-on-one match.

She wasn't in the building but as you can see below, Paige made the match official for next week so it's going to be a whole lot of fun seeing the Empress of Tomorrow kick him from pillar to post!

WWE moved away from intergender matches a long time ago but seeing as this will be a one-sided beating, you can see why this one is taking place. Nothing else has been announced for Tuesday's SmackDown Live as of yet but Shinsuke Nakamura will hopefully get his United States Championship match and we'll see more of Team Hell No in action. As always, stay tuned for updates.
