Jeff Hardy Confirms That He's Signed A New Deal With WWE, Closing The Door On An AEW Debut

WWE also viewed Jeff Hardy as a bigger star than his brother Matt, and that could explain why they've now signed the Charismatic Enigma to a new contract. Find out more details on that after the jump...

Any hopes of Jeff Hardy debuting alongside his brother Matt in All Elite Wrestling now appear to have gone out the window as the current Intercontinental Champion has confirmed in an interview with BT Sport that he's signed a new deal with the company.

That reveal came when Hardy revealed that his "No More Words" theme song is set to make a return (you may recall that he used that when he had his singles run as WWE Champion in 2008/2009).

"No More Words, when we do get in front of a crowd again, that was a part of me re-signing," he confirmed. "I’m like, ‘If we get in front of people again, I’d like to use No More Words again because I know y’all own it.'"

"That was the deal for me re-signing," Hardy continued, making it clear an AEW debut is now off the table. "That’s gonna be the ticket when we get back in front of crowds. That’s going to boost me even more. To hear that music again...I think the Hardy Boyz music is just for Matt and Jeff Hardy, not just Jeff Hardy."

There's currently no word on how long he's signed for, but you can watch the interview below:
