Jeff Hardy Failed To Recapture The United States Title At SUMMERSLAM, While Randy Orton Did...Nothing

Shinsuke Nakamura managed to retain the United States Championship at SummerSlam last night but after the match ended, Jeff Hardy was left lying prone in the ring and Randy Orton then arrived to do...nothing?!

In a match many of us probably forgot was on the SummerSlam card, Shinsuke Nakamura defended his United States Championship against Jeff Hardy in a fun back and forth bout. After the King of Strong Style attempted to get himself disqualified by hitting his opponent with a low blow, Hardy pulled off an incredible move when he tried to hit a Swanton Bomb and landed on the ring apron.

It was a crazy move for someone with a history of back and neck injuries and a definite highlight which set the stage for Nakamura to hit his patented Kinshasa knee strike for the quick 1-2-3.

Then, just as it was looking like Randy Orton might not appear at the PPV, his music hit and the Viper walked down to the ring and...did absolutely nothing. It looked like he was going to rush into the ring and attack his enemy but he then turned away, seemingly not interested in attacking Hardy while he was KO'd. Now, we'll just have to wait and see how things play out on SmackDown Live
