Jeff Hardy Returned To Action On SMACKDOWN And Picked Up A Win Over Baron Corbin

As advertised, Jeff Hardy made his long-awaited return to the ring this week on SmackDown after being out with an injury and picked up a win over Baron Corbin. Please let this be a one-off match...

Jeff Hardy returned to in-ring action last night on SmackDown after being on the shelf for almost a year with what was reportedly a shoulder injury. He also had some DUIs and a spell in rehab, but they're obviously not going to give that as a reason - even if Baron Corbin did bring it up in a promo.

The "King" interrupted an interview with Hardy, and the match was set. The bout was a half-decent back and forth affair, ending exactly how you'd expect: a Swanton bomb and Hardy's hand raised.

It's nice to have The Charismatic Enigma back, but let's hope this doesn't develop into a feud. Corbin is a heat-seeker no doubt, but he's pretty much become a parody of himself in recent months and nobody considers him a real threat.

Paige was also supposed to return to confront Bayley, but the former Divas Champion was unable to make the show due to the current travel situation.
