During Tuesday night's episode of SmackDown Live, The Hardy Boyz relinquished the Tag Team Championships because Jeff has suffered an inury which will put him on the shelf for a significant amount of time. It couldn't come for a worse time for the duo, especially after they returned to WWE with their old gimmick and immediately beat The Usos for the titles.

It's said that Jeff was injured working a SmackDown live event last Saturday. Now, he's talked more about what happened and confirms that it's his right knee which will require surgery.

Apparently, he's set to be out of action for 6 - 9 months and he's going to have his entire knee repaired because that's something he's been putting off having down for over four years.

What this means for Matt remains to be seen but given the way Lars Sullivan took out both men on SmackDown Live, there's a chance he'll be taken off TV for a while too. That would obviously be a waste, so here's hoping WWE Creative comes up with something for him.
