Sports Illustrated recently caught up with RAW Superstar Jeff Hardy to discuss a wide range of topics, including what he hopes to achieve during what looks set to be his final in-ring run. Hardy has already confirmed that he signed a new deal with WWE, and given his past injuries and the company's battle with All Elite Wrestling, chances are that was for five years.
The former Intercontinental Champion confirmed as much when he told the site about what he hopes to achieve as a WWE Superstar between now and 2024 (so, a four to five year deal).
"Between now and the year 2024, I want to be WWE Champion and Universal Champion, one time apiece, and main event WrestleMania one of those years," the former three-time World Champion in WWE said. "That’s the goal I just set for myself. Faith over fear, everything will be good."
Right now, Hardy is feuding with Elias, so it could take some work to have him rise up the card and be in a position to win those titles and main event a WrestleMania. It's certainly not outside the realm of possibility - WWE has always viewed him as a singles star, unlike his brother Matt - so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
