Jeff Hardy Was Reportedly Backstage During Friday's SMACKDOWN And Is Expected To Return Soon

According to PW Insider, Jeff Hardy was backstage during Friday night's episode of Smackdown. Earlier this month, it was reported that the former United States Champion had been spotted at the WWE Performance Center preparing for his in-ring return.

Hardy has been out of action since shorty after last year's WrestleMania due to a leg injury. While his current contract expires at the same time as Matt Hardy's on March 1st, WWE is expected to add more time to that to make up for what he's missed...and to stop him from heading straight to All Elite Wrestling!

It's said that Hardy is expected to be present at next week's SmackDown tapings, a sign that he'll soon be back on television as part of the blue brand.

However, as Jeff is due in court the day after WrestleMania to answer charges for his DWI arrest from last October, chances are we won't see him compete at the Show of Shows (at least not in anything more than a minor role).
