Jeff Hardy Will Defend The United States Championship Against Randy Orton At WWE BACKLASH

As the rivalry between these two heats up, it was confirmed during last night's SmackDown Live that Jeff Hardy will be defending the United States Championship against Randy Orton at this Sunday's Backlash PPV.

When Jeff Hardy made his SmackDown Live debut, he brought the United States Championship with him and didn't hesitate to interrupt Randy Orton's entrance and take his place in a match against Shelton Benjamin. Since then, tensions between them have continued to increase and culminated last night when The Viper hit an RKO Outta Nowhere on the unsuspecting US Champion.

Now, it's been confirmed that they'll square off at this Sunday's Backlash PPV with the title on the line in a match which should be a lot of fun given the talent involved and their history in WWE.
