Jerry Lawler has come under fire again, for making a controversial comment during his commentary... again.
During Akira Tozawa's match with Austin Theory on Raw, the former Cruiserweight Champion hit his opponent with a cannonball moonsault to the outside. Lawler then referred to the move as a “ramen noodle moonsault”
Some will no doubt consider this to be a harmless joke, but no matter how you may happen to feel about what is at the very least a racially insensitive reference to Tozawa's Japanese heritage, it's still shocking that something like this can be said during a live broadcast in 2020 without some kind of repercussions.
WWE may still take some kind of action, of course, but it seems unlikely after all of the other shit "The King" has said in the past has been swept under the rug.
What do you guys make of Lawler's comments? Are people making too big a deal out of some off-color gags from an out-of-touch old man? Let us know in the usual place.
