It's been revealed today that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler is returning to SmackDown Live on Tuesday to host a King's Court segment with fellow Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. The news was confirmed on Twitter and it appears as if this is the start of the build towards the former Women's Champion's return to the ring at SummerSlam

As we've previously told you, Charlotte Flair's backstage promo on SmackDown Live last week was supposed to be a hint that she wants to face a top star from the past at the PPV.

Now, it seems as if that is indeed going to be Stratus as there have been rumours that she's been in talks with WWE for a while about an in-ring return. Chances are Flair will get involved with this segment in order to set the stage for that.

Here's hoping Lawler can get through the segment without mentioning puppies, eh?
