During Saturday night's WWE Payback PLE, Cody Rhodes confirmed that Jey Uso has been drafted to RAW. He recently quit WWE after his brother, Jimmy, screwed him out of a win over Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam but is now set to appear on Monday nights.
Yesterday evening's show kicked off with Jey hitting the ring to start his time there by welcoming fans to Monday Night RAW, though it wasn't long before his fellow former Bloodline member, Sami Zayn, hit the ring.
The friends-turned-enemies-turned-friends-again went back and forth for a few moments before Zayn warned Jey that not everyone there is going to be happy about him being part of RAW. The two then hugged it out but it wasn't long before we got to see what Sami meant.
Drew McIntyre, who was screwed out of Reigns' title at last September's Clash at the Castle by The Bloodline, stared Jey down as he made his way out to the ring. Even the typically happy-go-lucky Matt Riddle stopped for a moment to make his feelings known (he was put on the injured list by The Bloodline).
Talking of McIntyre, there were once again several hints throughout RAW that the former WWE Champion will soon turn heel so his situation should be one that's well worth keeping an eye on in the weeks ahead.
Things took an intriguing turn later in the show when Dominick Mysterio appeared to try and tempt Jey into joining The Judgement Day.
Adam Pearce, meanwhile, told the former Undisputed Tag Team Champion that he could be set to make even more enemies as WWE officials have decided that Jey's arrival on RAW means someone is getting traded to SmackDown in the near future.
Right now, the prevailing theory is that it will be Cody Rhodes. As part of the blue brand, he can once again go after Reigns' title, likely setting the stage for the American Nightmare to finish the story at next year's WrestleMania. We obviously still have a ways to go before reaching the Showcase of the Immortals, though.
