At SummerSlam, Jey Uso was betrayed by his brother Jimmy after being pulled out of the ring right as he was about to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Friday night's SmackDown offered some of the answers we've been waiting for, with Jimmy declining the Head of the Table's offer to give him anything he wants as a thank you for lending a helping hand at the PLE.
Instead, he reveals that his actions had nothing to do with Roman and The Bloodline; he just didn't want to see Jey become Tribal Chief as it would almost certainly turn him into the monster their cousin now is. It's an unexpected explanation and one which Jey clearly isn't happy with.
In fact, he delivered a superkick to Jimmy before taking out Solo Sikoa and hitting Roman with a spear.
He then left the ring and made it clear he's done with the Bloodline, SmackDown, and WWE! Since then, his profile has been moved to the "Alumni" section on the company's website and while this is obviously part of the larger storyline, we can't help but wonder what the play is for Jey moving forward.
Will he reunite with Jimmy or is the plan for them to square off down the line, bringing an end to The Usos? We'll have to wait and see, but for now, Roman's cousin will no longer be a problem for the champion.
