Jey Uso isn't doing too badly as a singles competitor on SmackDown, and he'll face cousin Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship during tonight's Clash of Champions PPV. While that bout will likely be used as little more than a way to further The Big Dog's heel turn, it's a big opportunity for the former multi-time Tag Team Champion.
In an interview with TalkSport to promote the bout, Jey shared an update on his brother Jimmy. As you may recall, he was sidelined with an injury earlier this year, and it's widely believed he suffered a knee injury during WrestleMania which will leave him on the shelf for 6 - 9 months.
"He’s rehabbing that knee and by January/February we’re going to get back Uso crazy," Jey revealed. "And a PSA to all the tag teams, uce. The party don’t stop with the Universal title. I’m going to try and win that thing, but my number one goal is still to be the best tag team in wrestling, doing it all. So every tag team, get ready, bro. Next year is going to be year of the Usos."
That's good news for Jimmy, though it remains to be seen what capacity WWE will use Jey in between then and now. His rivalry with Reigns has definitely been really entertaining so far.
