The Usos are, without a doubt, one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. However, they've since gone their separate ways, initially leaving The Bloodline together before Jimmy decided to turn on Jey, costing him multiple championships.
We've since seen what they're capable of as singles stars, with Jey making a name for himself as "Main Event" Jey Uso on RAW and Jimmy having fun with his new heel persona as Roman Reigns' lackey over on SmackDown.
During Monday night's RAW, Jey challenged his twin to a match at WrestleMania. Now, he's opened up on what their split has done for them both.
"Once we separated we kind of just elevated in our own way. I've been doing my own thing on 'Raw,' and my brother Jimmy is over there like he's breaking out of his shell," Jey says in the video below. "He's funny, he's a funny dude for real, so to see him on TV being him he's really cracking and laughing and hitting jokes, and then he will switch it back to being mean or whatever, I like that."
"I don't think people would've gotten to see that if we never split."
"I feel like what would make mine and my brother’s angle different would obviously be the emotion part, right?" Jey said earlier this year when he was asked about that possible match. "The promo part of me and my brother, just us. Imagine the fire, imagine the emotion within me and him."
"If you saw it with Roman and you saw it with Sami, this would just be amplified 10 times more, so I'm excited and I'm ready just to deliver to the people," he continued. "And I do want a main event and I mean main event WrestleMania with my twin brother in front of 100,000 people. Maybe I go night one and then Roman is night two, like we’re still running The Bloodline is what I'm saying."
So far, it's Jey who has really stood out as a singles talent and Jimmy really needs to break away from The Bloodline in order to establish himself. Needless to say, their clash at the Show of Shows should do wonders for them both, and we expect this to be a standout bout...
