Jim Ross Reveals That He's Leaving WWE Once His Current Contract Expires

On his latest podcast, Jim Ross has revealed that he will be leaving WWE at the end of March. While he's been under contract for the last of years, he's done very little aside from RAW 25, the Mae Young Classic, and a UK special. At the time, it was believed the company only signed him up to stop ITV's World of Wrestling from hiring him.

In recent weeks, he's been talking a lot about having one foot out of the door and confirmed that his departure comes after a meeting with Vince McMahon which saw them mutually agree to part ways.

Ross added that while he believes he has more to offer, there are those around McMahon who believe otherwise and it seems as if he holds them responsible for what's happened. On the plus side, the legendary announcer added that his podcast will soon be overhauled with a new format with Conrad Thompson.

Will All Elite Wrestling sign him up? For now, that obviously remains to be seen.
