Jinder Mahal's run as WWE Champion has been divisive, to say the least, but it appears as if we should expect to see him remain at the top of WWE for some time to come as a new report points to the Modern Day Maharajah holding the title for the rest of 2017. That means we can pretty much forget about Shinsuke Nakamura winning the WWE Championship when they clash at Hell in a Cell

It's even said that he could hold it right up until WrestleMania 34 but that will obviously hinge on what WWE's creative plans are when the Royal Rumble rolls around this coming January.

If Mahal were to enter the Showcase of the Immortals as champion, John Cena dethroning him and finally beating Ric Flair's title record before his career comes to an end seems highly likely (even if it is a tad predictable). Either way, with WWE set to tour India in December, we can expect Mahal to definitely be champion by then even if Nakamura beats him and he wins it back in the meantime!
