On Monday night's episode of RAW, Jinder Mahal wrestled his first match on the show since June 18th and managed to score a victory over Braun Strowman via count-out. However, that wasn't the start of another push for the Modern Day Maharajah; instead, it was simply a way of furthering Kevin Owens' feud with the Monster Among Men and now details on how WWE feels about Mahal are here.
Apparently, WWE's failure to expand into India isn't what led to Mahal no longer receiving a push from the company; instead, it has more to do with his disappointing rivalry with Roman Reigns!
It's said that WWE officials held a meeting after their PPV match and declared the entire thing a disaster. However, while they realised that putting these two together was a mistake, the poor quality of the match and feud was blamed solely on Mahal because he wasn't perceived as being a believable enough opponent for The Big Dog and failed to establish himself in a main eventer during that time.
So, it appears as if for the foreseeable future, Mahal will remain firmly in the mid-card. Oh well!
