John Cena Clean Loss To Seth Rollins On Last Night's RAW Was His First In Nearly A Decade

On last night's episode of RAW, John Cena was beaten cleanly by Seth Rollins during an epic Gauntlet Match. However, did you realise that it was actually Cena's first clean loss on the show in nearly a decade?

Roman Reigns may be WWE's top dog these days but make no mistake about it, no one has been more protected than John Cena over the past fifteen years. The leader of the Cenation rarely loses on television or PPVs and last night's amazing Gauntlet Match on RAW marked one of those rare occasions when he was taken down by Seth Rollins in a great bout featuring plenty of near falls.

That defeat was actually the first time Cena has suffered a clean pinfall loss on RAW since October 2009. Back then, he was beaten by Triple H but only after three Pedigrees (obviously).

It's pretty mind-blowing when you think about and Cena has only actually suffered sixteen clean pinfall losses since 2007 (to names like Shawn Michaels, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns). Oh, and he's only been submitted three times during that period! Rumour has it that he'll battle The Undertaker at WrestleMania this year but don't count on him being pinned or submitted by The Deadman...
