Though we still haven't heard anything official, several different sources have reported that John Cena is scheduled to make his long-awaited return to WWE this August at SummerSlam for a showdown with Roman Reigns. Now, Cena himself has addressed the rumors during an interview to promote his new movie, F9.
While speaking to Fox Sports, Cena was asked what he was doing on August 21st, responded that he was hopefully going to “enjoy the summer.” When he was pushed for an answer and asked outright if he was planning to go to Vegas for SummerSlam, he said that he’s got a lot going on and doesn't "want to create expectations that I can’t manage.”
Cena's comments would seem to suggest that the rumors are false, but it's also worth noting that he didn't outright deny anything, which could be a sign that there's at least some truth to the reports.

If Cena has signed a deal with WWE to appear at SummerSlam, chances are we'll find out about it sooner rather than later. For now, we'll just have to keep watching to see if any hints are dropped during Raw (ugh) or SmackDown.
