Last night, John Cena appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to discuss perhaps his biggest movie role yet in F9: The Fast Saga. That franchise went a long way in putting Dwayne Johnson on the map, and Cena's star should continue to rise thanks to the likes of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker

Fallon asked Cena about the persistent rumours he will soon return to WWE, and the former WWE Champion finally confirmed he plans to step back into the ring.

"Those rumors are true," Cena admitted. "I’ll definitely be back to the WWE, I just don’t know when." Asked about a teaser he posted on Instagram back in May, he clarified: "Some people took it as I was returning immediately which that is not the case. I haven’t had my last match and I can’t wait to have my next match."

"All these opportunities have led to more opportunities. I said before, once you do one of these things the insurance doesn’t let you go wrestle on the weekends so we’ll see what happens."

It's been widely reported that Cena will return on the July 16 edition of SmackDown to set up a Universal Championship match with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. That would definitely make sense for the leader of the Cenation, though it's a bout you have to believe he'll end up losing.
