Sports Illustrated recently caught up with John Cena and the
F9 star addressed the possibility of an appearance at this April's
WrestleMania. During the interview, the leader of the Cenation confirmed that he will indeed be at the Show of Shows and that he'll be happy to do whatever Vince McMahon asks of him.
"Performing at WrestleMania this year would be a gift," the actor said. "I haven’t been intertwined in the machine of the WWE. I know those WrestleMania spots are few and far between. I’ve expressed that I’m off. But I’ve also expressed that I live in Tampa. I will for sure be at the event and I have great trust in the process."
"I have great faith in Vince McMahon not only as a boss, but as so much more than that. As a friend, as a mentor. If he were to tell me that he needs me, I would absolutely be active in whatever capacity, whether it would be like last year in New York rapping my way to the ring or the year before being a fan in the stands."
"There is no job too small," he concluded. Now, you have to believe Cena has some idea of what WWE has planned for him at WrestleMania and it was only last month that we heard McMahon has big plans for him at the show.
What that will be remains to be seen but with Cena working a busy Hollywood schedule these days, a full-blown match could be unlikely due to insurance issues and the like. Stay tuned for updates!
