John Cena Explains Why He Missed Last Night's Episode Of RAW

Despite his ongoing rivalry with Roman Reigns, John Cena was nowhere to be seen on last night's go home edition of RAW before No Mercy. Where was the leader of the Cenation? You can find out after the jump!

There was no sign of John Cena on last night's episode of RAW and we now know why. The leader of the Cenation hopped on a jet to appear at a WWE Live event in China on Sunday, a country he's made a great effort to promote WWE in (going so far as to learn the language for promotional videos and appearances in the Middle Kingdom).

While
his match was put early on the card so he could fly back to the states by Monday, he still didn't appear on the show for one last chance to promote his No Mercy match with Roman Reigns.

"I will literally spend more time in a fuselage than I will on the ground here, that’s how important this trip was to me," he explained to the Chinese press. "I was initially supposed to miss this event, and I bent time to be here. This is taking priority above a lot of things, including me being in the air the entire day on Monday, so you can do the maths to see how important this is."

It's possible Cena was too exhausted to appear on RAW or that his flight didn't return in time but there's no denying that his commitment to WWE and growing the brand is pretty damn impressive!
