When John Cena returned to SmackDown Live on July 4th, it was revealed that he's now a Free Agent in WWE. Most fans expected him to show up on RAW after SummerSlam and he did exactly that last night after being introduced by General Manager Kurt Angle. After hitting the ring, the leader of the Cenation wasted no time in laying down a challenge and called out Roman Reigns.

After reminding Roman that he's not the only big dog in this particular yard, it appeared as if the two were seconds away from coming to blows but The Miz interrupted before anything could kick off.

Cutting a passionate promo about being on the pre-show and performing in front of nobody (the building was still empty when the match started as the doors opened late), The Miz was soon joined by Samoa Joe and a tag team match between the foursome was made for later in the night. During that, Roman inadvertently hit Cena with a Superman Punch but they still emerged
victorious.

Despite there being tension between Cena and Reigns, it now appears as if the plan is for the latter to feud with The Miz and Cena to take on Joe (which has been a dream match for years now).
