Conor McGregor scored a huge payday when he stepped into the boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather but will we ever get to see him in a wrestling ring? That happening down the line feels like an inevitability and it turns out that former WWE Champion John Cena is very excited about the prospect.

"He would do fantastic," Cena says in the video below when asked how he thinks Mayweather would do in the squared circle. "Hell, he would put me out of work. He gets the entertainment aspect of
sport, and I think he gets it as good or better than anyone else. The way he promoted the fight against Mayweather – that’s what we do. He did it as good or better than us."

“So I hope one day, if you’re out there watching and you want to come to WWE, he would be a fantastic WWE Superstar," he concludes, laying down the invitation for the UFC star.

McGregor may have taken great delight in tearing various WWE Superstars apart but he's never been short of praise for Vince McMahon and it's easy to imagine the two sides working some sort of deal out...if WWE could afford him! For now, though, McGregor appears to be happy where he is and if he is ever going to wrestle, it probably won't be until his UFC career is at its end.
