John Cena Hopes Fans Will Always Remember Him As Part Of WWE Despite His New Hollywood Career

It's become apparent recently that we're not even going to see John Cena in WWE on a part-time basis now he's embraced his Hollywood career, but he's made it clear that he wants to remain part of the company.

It's become clear now that John Cena's days as an active WWE Superstar have reached their end because while he's not quite up there on Dwayne Johnson's level, he's giving it a damn good go! 2020 will be a particularly big year for the leader of the Cenation as he shoots The Suicide Squad and that seemingly closes the door on any sort of WWE return.

Despite that, Cena revealed during a recent interview that he's well aware that he became a star in WWE and hopes that people will forever remember him as part of that family.

"I hope they always view me as a member of the WWE, because I am," he said. "Whether it’s watching the events or being able to participate, any chance I’m given to answer this question, WWE is my family. It’s weird that the culture is, you either do this or you do that, and for 20 years I’ve been trying to tell people, ‘No, it’s all really cool.’"

"So I don’t ever want to not be known as a WWE superstar. I can’t perform as much as the current ones, because I’m a little bit older, and I have these cool opportunities to do other stuff, but in doing other stuff, I’m not saying that world is shut off. I’m trying to bring this world with me, so we can all be involved in a movie conversation, or a WrestleMania conversation."

WWE reportedly has plans for Cena at this year's WrestleMania but whether those will actually come to pass is another matter altogether as he's a busy man. Wrestling fans are definitely disappointed to see him just leave the way he has, of course, but that could change if he makes an appearance at the Show of Shows.

What do you guys think?
