Now we know that AJ Styles will battle Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Shane McMahon has filled what would have been his space on SmackDown Live's five-man team with John Cena. Styles was expected to clash with Rusev yesterday for the right to join the team but plans were changed at the last minute and he was given a title match instead and became WWE Champion.
The last time we saw Cena, he was part of the RAW roster and battled Roman Reigns at No Mercy. Joining Cena will be Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Bobby Roode.
On the RAW side, we're getting Kurt Angle, Brayn Strowman, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and Jason Jordan. It's going to be a very interesting match now, especially as Cena's first WWE match was against Angle on an episode of SmackDown way back when! The question is, why has this change been made and what led to WWE cancelling what appeared to be plans to pit Cena against Jinder Mahal?
Who knows but Survivor Series has been shaken up in a major way after this week!
