John Cena made a rare return to WWE at Super Show-Down to team up with Bobby Lashley for a match against Elias and Kevin Owens. It was a pretty standard encounter for the most part but the leader of the Cenation was in great shape and clearly hadn't lost a step despite not competing for months now.
Near the end of the match, Cena hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle and Attitude Adjustment on Elias but the latter was used as a transitional move to hit the Sixth Move of Doom (which debuted in China).
After scoring the 1-2-3 for his team, Cena got on the mic and said that while he's not sure what the future holds for him, he was appreciative of being able to compete in a WWE ring again. It almost came across like a retirement speech and it's clear now that his future is on the silver screen rather than the squared circle. He'll no doubt do something at WrestleMania but, alas, this is The Rock all over again!
