John Cena once vowed that he would never become a part-timer and while there's no denying that he still has "it," it appears as if he'd rather focus on his Hollywood career these days. There, the leader of the Cenation is finding a great deal of success and when he was asked in a recent interview about the fans who call him a "hypocrite" for leaving, he explained why there's a good reason for his schedule.
"I’m old guys. I’m old," Cena stated. "I’m 41 and performing 310 times a year isn’t what’s best for my overall health. I wanna be able to run the streets at 80 instead of hobbling around. I’m at a point in my life where I need to think long-term." In fairness, it's easy to see where Cena is coming from because he has been at this for a long time and he doesn't want to become a Mick Foley!
b he added. "I’ll never leave the WWE, it’s my home. But I have to think about long-term health and right now this is probably the best play for me." While it's a shame not to see as much of Cena as we once did, there are plenty of great new Superstars rising up the ranks and his absence gives them the space to do so.
