Kairi Sane Bids Farewell To The WWE Universe As She Prepares To Return To Japan

We had all hoped that the reports were inaccurate, but WWE has now officially confirmed that Kairi Sane has finished up with the company and will soon return to Japan. Check out the Pirate Princess' Tweets.

Kairi Sane made her last appearance for WWE on Raw last night, and will soon return to Japan to be with her husband.

The Pirate Princess appeared to be written off TV with an injury angle (well, she was on the receiving end of a moderately vicious beating from Bayley) during Asuka's match with Sasha Banks. We still haven't been given an update on her status, but WWE will likely announce that she's unable to compete again - because she bumped her head on a shutter a few times, apparently - later in the week.

Sane took to Twitter after the show went off the air, thanking her fans and colleagues in the NXT and Raw locker rooms.

Sane had a rocky start on the main roster, but she was arguably doing the best work of her career as part of the Kabuki Warriors tag team with Asuka, and was consistently the most entertaining part of Raw over the past few months.

We're not sure why she decided to part ways with WWE beyond wanting to be with her husband (not to suggest that's not a valid enough reason on its own), but we wish her all the best in Japan and hope she decides to return someday.
