Has WWE already [frick]ed up Keith Lee's main roster run? That might be a slight overreaction, but we're certainly not off to a great start.
As advertised, the former NXT Champion made his Raw debut last night when he interrupted Randy Orton and challenged him to a match. Lee was introduced to the familiar "bask in his glory" operatic opening, but instead of transitioning into his awesome NXT entrance tune, we were subjected to an instantly off-putting and generic new theme.
Why? Because an out of touch, 75 year old man is making these type of decisions behind the scenes. It's that simple.
Anyway, we're trying to remain as positive as possible here, so it is worth noting that his exchange with Orton was pretty cool. Both men faced off later in the night, but when the match was interrupted by Drew McIntyre attacking The Viper, a rematch was scheduled for Payback this Sunday.
There was a lot of backlash to the entrance music, they might change it back in time for the PPV. What did you guys think of Keith Lee's Raw debut? Let us know in the comments.
