During last year's
Survivor Series PPV, Keith Lee and Roman Reigns were the final ones left standing in the Men's Elimination match. While The Big Dog was ultimately victorious, it was clear that Lee had earned his respect, and fans are now anxious to see the current NXT North American Champion on the main roster.
During a recent appearance on
WWE Backstage, Lee was asked about his confrontation with Reigns and revealed what the multi-time WWE and Universal Champion had to say to him after the match.
"That day was obviously just as intense, a day where I didn’t really know what was going on, being one of the last three to be in that match," Lee started. "Quite the squabble with Roman Reigns, the first person to kick out of the spirit bomb for crying out loud, then speared me out of my boots and onto my neck, but that moment there, that set the tone for me."
"After that was over with, he told me, straight up, ‘I want a one-on-one match with you,'" he concluded.
That's definitely a match wrestling fans would like to see, and Lee's confrontation with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar was every bit as epic at the Royal Rumble (another bout it would be great to see). Check out Lee's comments in the player below:
