In recent weeks, Kevin Owens has become one of WWE's hottest babyfaces as an anti-authority figure who has taken aim at Shane McMahon. Well, they clashed at
SummerSlam last night but the Chairman's son immediately tried to stack the odds against his opponent.
With Owens' career on the line, the stakes were high and McMahon named Elias as a special enforcer. As you might expect, he interfered from start to finish and when the referee ended up being taken out, KO managed to put an end to Elias with a steel chair.
Then, as the referee was removing that, Owens hit Shane with a kick to the groin and hit him with the Stunner in order to earn the 1-2-3.
Given the way things ended, chances are that these two will meet again in the not too distant future and that will probably benefit Owens' new character even if fans have grown bored with Shane's constant presence on RAW and SmackDown Live.
