Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens is currently doing the rounds to promote the
Money in the Bank PPV and in an interview with The Wrap, he was asked about his recent heel turn.
That obviously saw him turn on The New Day just one week after being named "Big O" and KO has now expressed his disappointment with not being given the opportunity to continue playing a good guy.
"I wish I would have been able to stay on the other side of the fence a little longer, to be honest," he reveals.
"I don’t think anybody’s really seen me as a babyface ever, or, like, the way that I envision myself being. I don’t think people have any idea what I can do on the other side. But, you know, what’s done is done. If I’m gonna speak candidly about it, I would have done it differently. I would have turned on Kofi differently at a different time. I ended up being wrong because once I did it, I knew that was the right time and place."
It's interesting that he admits to being wrong as it definitely was a shock for it to happen after just a week and Owens adds: "You knew there was gonna be some sort of swerve but there’s no way– I really don’t think people expected it to be that quick."
Now, he'll face Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank so the heel turn wasn't all bad for him. What do you guys think?
