The main event of SmackDown LIVE saw Roman Reigns take on Dolph Ziggler in a decent bout which was marred by constant interference from Shane McMahon, Drew McIntyre and Elias. However, The Big Dog got some backup just before the end of the match.
Just as the numbers game appeared to be too much for Reigns to overcome, Kevin Owens took advantage of a melee on the outside by storming the ring and hitting Shane with a Stone Cold-style Stunner. This allowed Roman to gain the upper hand and hit a spear on The Showoff for the victory.
Yes, it looks like we're getting another Shane/Owens feud, but with the heel/face roles reversed this time. It's possible that WWE is attempting to set this up as a modern day version of the classic Steve Austin/Vince McMahon rivalry which pretty much kicked-off the Attitude Era.
What do you guys think? Some potential here?
