Kevin Owens Issued A WRESTLEMANIA Challenge "Invitation" To Stone Cold Steve Austin During RAW Last Night

Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens has issued a WrestleMania challenge to Stone Cold Steve Austin, though it doesn't appear we're getting a match. Find more details on what happened during RAW here...

A few weeks ago, rumours started swirling that WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin would step back into the ring for a match against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania. Unfortunately, either those reports were incorrect or something has changed as KO issued more of an invitation than a challenge during last night's episode of RAW.

After failing to win the RAW Tag Team Championships alongside Seth Rollins in the main event, Owens - who has been verbally attacking Texas for weeks now - says he's not interested in JBL, Booker T, and Shawn Michaels. Instead, he wants someone who embodies the state at the Show of Shows: Stone Cold.

Describing him as a broken-down shell of his former self, KO said Austin probably needs a walker to get to the ring and said he looks forward to delivering a Stunner to the Texas Rattlesnake and pour a glass of milk over the Legend's lifeless body. As you can see from the Tweet below, it looks like we're getting a special edition of the KO Show rather than a full-blown match.

That's a massive disappointment, but Austin could change his mind when he responds later today. We'll let you know if that's the case, but this should drive up Saturday's ticket sales...

Lord they are trying to tap a dry well in WWE. Let legends be legends and give the professional wrestlers you have space and opportunity to do their thing. It is just too scripted and artificial now, and that’s coming from someone who thought Nikolai Volkov was legitimately Soviet as a teen. That was more believable than today’s product.
