Bad Blood ended with Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes (and Jimmy Uso) staring down The Rock after the Final Boss made his long-awaited return to the company.
However, when the show went off the air, the American Nightmare was confronted in the parking lot by his friend Kevin Owens. In full view of fans, they exchanged words before the Prizefighter seemingly turned heel and viciously beat his friend.
It appears WWE staged the whole thing as publicly as possible to get fans talking and to add a level of realism to this storyline (it's telling that the footage hasn't been published on the company's social media accounts).
Tension has been rising between Rhodes and Owens for a while now. Cody decided to defend his title against an unwilling KO at Bash in Berlin and angered his pal by teaming up with Reigns, someone who made both of their lives a hell as leader of the original Bloodline.

"Cody left [WWE] in 2016, and it sucked. It sucked to lose my friend at [that] time," Owens said at the end of August. "So I really wanted him to have the best possible introduction to the independent scene, because he had never been around. He had never done that. At the time, he had already been in the WWE system for so long. The independent scene is a whole different ballgame from the WWE."
"So I just guided him in the right direction and put him in touch with The Young Bucks [who would] take care of him. And I knew they’d hit it off, you know? They did, I was right. And that just helped him get the right platform, I guess. Everything else, he did. He knew what he was capable of and he really wanted to show people - the promoters - what he already saw in himself. And he succeeded."
"That’s an understatement," he added. "So it’s great to see him get all his flowers, if you want to say that. And to see him in the position he’s in now."
Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as we have it.
