King Corbin Is Reportedly Unhappy With WWE's Decision To Have Him Feud With Matt Riddle

At the end of last night's SmackDown, a number of Superstars gave King Corbin a beating, but it was Matt Riddle who delivered the final blow. Now, it's said the King of the Ring is unhappy with WWE's plans.

After insulting The Undertaker during last night's SmackDown, King Corbin faced Jeff Hardy in the show's main event, and later received a beatdown from the entire roster (well, those who don't have COVID-19 anyway). Matt Riddle was the final one to take Corbin down, and the stage has indeed been set for them to feud moving forward.

However, Sportskeeda is reporting that Corbin has only just found out about his rivalry with Riddle, whereas the former NXT Superstar has known for months. While the King of the Ring winner doesn't seem too bothered by that, he is said to be unhappy being Riddle's first major opponent on the blue brand.

Apparently, Corbin insisted to WWE officials that Riddle should have to beat "five enhancement talents" before getting the chance to face him, and while he clearly has a very high opinion of himself, you can understand why Corbin might not want to be used as a jobber in a rivalry with Riddle which will lead to him being put over as a top star.

That's just the way things work in WWE, though, and Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles certainly didn't seem to have an issue losing to Riddle last week!
